Sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs, pose a significant risk to health and may potentially cause grave complications. The threat gets further exacerbated by the problem of co-infections—more than one STD infection present in the body. Researchers report that roughly half of all gonorrhea infections occur with chlamydial infections, and that there are frequent co-infections of gonorrhea and HIV.
Most STDs do not show symptoms until they are at an advanced stage, which is always when most diagnosis depends on the correct laboratory tests. In that regard, modernization has made this test accessible with the entry of home testing kits. We offer a comprehensive Combo test kit bundle for this very purpose: detection of seven common STDs.

Home Testing Made Reliable with the Combo STD Test Kit
Our Combo STD test kit bundle presents the latest solution for assured testing in the comfort of one's home. It is convenient to check against seven different STDs, namely chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, HSV-2 (herpes), hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. The kits are designed to provide results with accuracy within 15 minutes per test kit and are certified under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485.
It's important to note that diseases like HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C have a window period. This is the time after infection when the disease isn’t detectable. So even as you get a negative result, you may still have to take another test at a later date for confirmation.
Understanding the STDs and the Associated Test Kits
Our combo kit consists of seven individual test kits. Let’s have a closer look at each STD and the associated kit.
Chlamydia
Caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, which may result in complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease and epididymitis.
This kit detects an antigen on the surface of C. trachomatis.
The specimen for the test is an epithelial swab, and the infection is treatable with antibiotics.
Gonorrhea
Caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, with complications arising much like chlamydia.
The kit detects an antigen on the surface of N. gonorrhoeae.
The test requires an epithelial swab. Though it is treatable with antibiotics, increased antibiotic resistance occurs.
Syphilis
Caused by Treponema pallidum. If left untreated, it leads to severe complications.
The kit detects antibodies produced against T. pallidum.
Requires a blood sample and can be treated with antibiotics.
HIV
Human immunodeficiency virus, leading to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome).
The kit detects both the strains of HIV, namely, HIV-1 and HIV-2, as well as antibodies against the Group "O" antigen on the HIV envelope.
Needs a blood sample. Though there is no cure yet, antiretroviral therapies keep the infection under control.
Hepatitis B
Caused by the hepatitis B virus, this too can lead to chronic infection, cirrhosis, and liver cancer.
The kit detects antibodies against the virus and proteins on the virus envelope.
A blood sample is required for the test, and though there is no known cure, antiviral therapy controls the infection.
Hepatitis C
Caused by the hepatitis C virus, chronic infection leads to cirrhosis, cancer, and immune system diseases.
The kit detects antigen on the envelope of the virus.
Requires a blood sample. The infection is curable with antiviral therapy.
HSV-2 (Herpes)
Caused by the herpes simplex virus type 2, it majorly causes genital herpes.
The kit detects the antibodies produced against HSV-2.
Requires a blood sample. Though there is no cure yet, antiviral drugs can suppress the symptoms and lower the risk of transmission.
Post-Testing Measures and Conclusions
Testing is the first step in protecting yourself from STDs. If you test positive, follow up on the result by seeing a healthcare professional regarding proper treatment. Abstain from sexual contact until your medical provider indicates it is safe for you and your partner(s).
The Combo STD Test Kit offers flexibility in terms of personal health management, convenience, and privacy without compromising accuracy. Being informed and active regarding your sexual health is a key factor in preventing the spread of STDs and leading a healthier life.
