Why testing matters

• Recognize the irritation

  Women may have greenish vaginal discharge, itching, burning, or discomfort during urination or sex. Men may notice mild discharge, irritation, or burning during urination.

• No symptoms, but still contagious

  Many people with trichomoniasis don’t experience any signs but can easily transmit the infection.

• Complications from untreated infection

  If left untreated, it can increase the risk of other STDs and cause complications in pregnancy such as premature birth.
